Job Description:
- Promote the mission of Bishop O’Gorman Catholic Schools and model the teaching of the Catholic Church
- Support the growth and development of students in their faith
- Collaborate with the Student Assistance Team and consult with parents, teachers, clergy, and administrators to address student concerns and progress
- Coordinate standardized testing at the building level, including materials organization, teacher training, and data analysis
- Provide in services and professional development to staff on testing procedures, data interpretation and educational resources
- Maintain connections with external counseling agencies and support community programs
- Ensure compliance with federal/state regulations, collect and transition student assessment data, attend relevant workshops, and fulfill other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Master's degree or higher in counseling
- South Dakota school counselor certification
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Maintain high level of confidentiality

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Ability to work daytime hours, primarily Monday-Friday
- Clarity of vision
- Ability to speak English clearly
- Ability to hear and distinguish sounds, including speech, alarms and other work environment sounds
- Fine hand motor skills to include and not limited to keyboarding, writing, grasping, holding, and repetitive motion
- Ability to frequently sit, stand, and walk through work day
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds occasionally
- Ability to push/pull up to 50 pounds
- Ability to intermittently bend, squat, and reach overhead
