• Internship focus: Increasing reading proficiency scores.
• Assist with gathering data, surveying the community, and researching information regarding opportunities to increasing reading proficiency scores.
• Collaborate with the K-5 Grade Librarian and library administration to assess current practices, identify gaps, and design innovative solutions.
• This role requires strong organizational skills, creativity, and a passion for fostering a culture of continuous learning within a public service environment.
• This is a 2026 summer internship.

Minimum Qualifications

• Recent graduate or currently enrolled as a full-time student at a college or university with an interest in pursuing a career in public libraries. Must have strong verbal and written communication skills, be able to work as a team member and collaborate effectively with others and have a basic understanding of legal and policy language.
